David Aznar has selected a squad of 19 players for Real Madrid’s game against Valencia:

Goalkeepers: Misa, Yohana, Sara Ezquerro

Defenders: Kenti Robles, Peter, Samara, Marta Corredera, Claudia Florentino

Midfielders: Kaci, Maite Oroz, Teresa, Malena Ortiz

Forwards: Olga, Asllani, Jakobsson, Marta Cardona, Lorena, Ubogagu, Ariana Arias

Captain and central defender Ivana Andrés has been left out of the squad, presumably due to injury, though no official communication about her condition has been given. This comes off the back of an already existing injury to center-back Daiane, meaning that, in all likelihood, new signing Claudia Florentino will get her first start for the club.

Central midfielder Thaisa also remains injured, causing her to miss her second game in a row.

The good news is that youth phenom and goal scorer extraordinaire Ariana Arias has been called up. Unfortunately, we might not be able to watch her in action if she features, as it seems like the game will not be streamed.

Predicted XI:

4-3-3: Misa; Kenti, Claudia, Peter, Corredera; Maite Oroz, Kaci, Teresa; Jakobsson, Asllani, Cardona
