La Liga have announced that the first El Clasico of the season will be played on Saturday, October 24h with kick-off scheduled for 16:00 CEST. This will be the first meeting of the season between Real Madrid and FC Barcelona, who are expected to compete for the 2020-2021 La Liga title.

The game will be played at the Camp Nou and Barcelona will have an additional day to rest their players, given that they face Ferencvaros the previous Tuesday while Madrid host Shakhtar Donestk on Wednesday.

Real Madrid will almost surely be without both Eden Hazard and Dani Carvajal, who are still injured and will need more time to recover and then also improve their conditioning and fitness.

This will be a monumental game and also the first El Clasico after the Coronavirus pandemic, so it will be interesting to see what kind of influence the lack of home fans have for both teams, even more so in such an intense and tough game.
