More about Los Blancos over the FIFA break.
Modric played in Croatia’s win over Sweden. He was involved in Croatia’s first goal, helping them secure their first victory in the UEFA Nations League.
Jovic also played the whole game in Serbia’s 0-1 loss to Hungary. Even they seem to be having problems getting the best out of the young striker.
Varane and Mendy played in France 0-0 draw against Portugal.
We can’t get tired of watching Ødegaard’s beautiful pass in Norway’s win over Romania, so here it is again!

- Uruguay vs Equador
- Spain vs Ukraine
- Germany vs Switzerland
The club congratulate Rafael Nadal on his 20th Grand slam.
It was a proud moment for all Madridistas and Nadal fans as the Spaniard won the French Open for a record 13th time. He also tied Roger Federer for 20 Grand Slams overall. The club put out a tweet congratulating its honorary member.

Eight Madridistas are nominated in the midfield category for France football’s Balon d’Or Dream Team.
After cancelling the Ballon d’Or 2020 award, France Football decided to reveal the Dream Team of 11 players at the end of this year. While Alfredo Di Stefano, Raymond Kopa, Ferenc Puskas and Zinedine Zidane were nominated in the offensive midfielder category, Fernando Redondo, Bernd Schuster, Xabi Alonso and Clarence Seedorf (he only spent three years at Real Madrid) were nominated in the defensive midfielder category.
Emery and Kubo
It’s been reported that Real Madrid are not happy with how Villareal are handling Kubo’s loan, in which the Japanese player is not getting minutes. Matt covered an article in which Unai Emery, Villareal’s coach, gave an interview to AS and was asked about Kubo. From his comments, we can only guess that the situation is not about to change anytime soon, as Emery pointed out that “acceleration is not good, he must adapt and he must grow to compete in all positions.”
