Bayern Munich’s Alphonso Davies and Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland seem to be the favorites to win the award, given that they’ve already established themselves as undisputed starters and key contributors for two elite clubs in Europe. While Vinicius and Rodrygo will almost certainly not win the award, they have to stay patient as their future is also very bright.
Players like Kylian Mbappe, Isco Alarcon, Lionel Messi or Sergio Aguero won the Golden Boy in the past, so this award is a fairly good indicator of talent.
Real Madrid target Eduardo Camavinga [Stade Rennais] also features in the list and will likely have more chances to win the Golden Boy in the next few years, given that he’s still 17 years old.
