Back to work, with little time to celebrate — as it should be.
This morning Real Madrid began preparations for their Champions League match against Borussia Mönchengladbach on Tuesday.
The best news today, apart from waking up to the sweet smell of victory over Barcelona, was that Eden Hazard was back in training ahead of schedule, and is even included in the Champions League matchday squad.
Today Zinedine Zidane had the starters at Camp Nou do some running on the pitch before moving inside to workout in the gym. The rest of the team stayed outdoors to do some rondos and possession based drills before ending their training session with scrimmages on reduced-sized pitches.
Player updates
While Hazard is back, others are still recovering. Martin Odegaard and Alvaro Odriozola worked out on their own both outdoors and inside the facilities. Mariano Diaz, Nacho Fernandez, and Dani Carvajal worked out indoors.
