Asensio reaches 150 matches played with Real Madrid
Marco Asensio was one of the four players who set personal milestones for the club on Saturday at the Camp Nou.
Asensio reached 150 matches played with Real Madrid. He’s now just two matches away from also reaching 100 career La Liga matches played in about five seasons played with the club.
He received a commemorative jersey for the milestone. He’s scored 30 goals for Real and has won 11 trophies.
Ramos equalizes two club legends in Clásico appearances
Sergio Ramos featured in his 31st El Clásico in La Liga, which ties both Raúl and Francisco Gento in La Liga Clásico appearances.
He has featured in 45 Clásicos across all competitions against Barcelona, in which he leads the list for this milestone. Since joining Real from Sevilla in 2005, he has featured in every La Liga Clásico.
Ramos scored the second goal of Real’s 3-1 win on Saturday from a penalty kick. He has scored five goals in league Clásicos.
Modrić makes 350th appearance for club
Luka Modrić also set a personal appearance milestone for Real Madrid when he played in his 350th match for the club against Barcelona.
Modrić scored the third goal and final in Saturday’s Clásico in the 90th minute of the match to give Real a 3-1 victory. He has made 237 appearances alone in La Liga for Real and has won an impressive 17 trophies with the club.
Like Asensio, Modrić received a commemorative shirt for his club milestone. The 35-year-old is still setting personal achievements since joining from Tottenham in 2012.
Benzema takes part in 250th win with Real
This milestone makes it three personal club milestones for Karim Benzema in recent time. Benzema assisted in his 250th win with Real Madrid on Saturday. Prior, he made 350 appearances and scored 250 goals with the club.
The 32-year-old reaches this milestone in his twelfth season with Real since joining from Lyon in 2009. He has scored 170 goals in over 350 La Liga matches played. This puts him fifth in the list of Madrid goal scorers in the league.
It was an eventful weekend for several Madridistas who set these personal milestones with Real Madrid. Moving past the 3-1 win over their biggest rival that puts the club second in La Liga, they now turn their attention back to the Champions League and Borussia Mönchengladbach on Tuesday.
