Real Madrid visit Gladbach’s Borussia Park in what will be a must win for Los Blancos after losing to Shakhtar Donetsk last week. Luckily enough for Zidane’s men, they were able to gain some confidence and momentum with a crucial victory in Saturday’s El Clasico against Barcelona.
Eden Hazard is back with the team and could make his season debut, although he is not expected to make the starting lineup just yet.
Real Madrid predicted XI: Courtois, Lucas Vazquez, Varane, Ramos, Mendy, Casemiro, Valverde, Modric, Vinicius, Asensio, Benzema.
Gladbach predicted XI: Sommer, Lainer, Ginter, Elvedi, Bensebaini, Kramer, Neuhaus, Hofman, Stindl, Thuram, Plea.
Lucas Vazquez will almost certainly start in Real Madrid’s right-back spot after Nacho picked up an injury in El Clasico. Carvajal and Odriozola aren’t ready to play just yet and Vazquez should be given another chance after his great performance against Barcelona.
Real Madrid shouldn’t take this game for granted, as Gladbach are a competitive team who will be tough to beat at their own stadium.
