Eden Hazard had an encouraging twenty minute cameo against Borussia Monchengladbach during the midweek Champions League match. The ankle injury sustained in November of last year has plagued Eden’s Real Madrid career. That ankle problem coupled with a more recent muscle injury has meant that Hazard was not able to debut in the 2020-2021 season until 8 games into the new season.

In a report from El Mundo Deportivo, Eden Hazard apparently spoke with the head of Real Madrid’s medical department, Niko Mihic. Eden’s words were believed to be very positive regarding both his ankle and quadricep: “Doctor, everything is okay. My ankle and quadricep did not hurt at all”. These words were overheard by many in the dressing room and both the players and medical staff were relieved to hear that Eden Hazard may finally be on the last stage of his recovery.

Real Madrid’s next match is on Saturday, at the Alfredo Di Stefano, against Huesca. Quickly there after, Inter Milan visit’s Madrid on Tuesday for a Champions League showdown. Zinedine Zidane will be desperate to count on Hazard in the upcoming matches in a bid to improve the team’s offensive curation.
