Real Madrid have published their squad list for Sunday’s away match against Levante, the last before the upcoming FIFA break.
REAL MADRID SQUAD:
Goalkeepers: Courtois, Lunin, Altube.
Defenders: Sergio Ramos, R. Varane, Nacho, Marcelo, F. Mendy, Chust.
Midfielders: Modrić, Casemiro, Valverde, Ødegaard, Isco.
Forwards: Benzema, Asensio, Lucas V., Jović, Vini Jr., Rodrygo.
All of a sudden, Real Madrid have a very thin squad and their depth is gone. Toni Kroos, Dani Carvajal, Eden Hazard and Alvaro Odriozola are all injured, just like Militao and Mariano.
Nacho and Vazquez could be competing for the starting spot on the right side of Madrid’s defensive line, although Mendy could also move to that flank, which would give Marcelo the chance to start on the left.
Coach Zidane has been rotating his players quite often during these first matches and tomorrow should be no exception. Will Jovic start again? Could Odegaard, Vinicius or Rodrygo return to the lineup? Knowing Zidane, it’s anyone’s guess.
