Real Madrid have published their squad list for Saturday’s home game against Huesca in La Liga.
REAL MADRID SQUAD:
Goalkeepers: Courtois, Lunin and Altube.
Defenders: E. Militão, Sergio Ramos, R. Varane, Marcelo, F. Mendy and Santos.
Midfielders: Kroos, Modrić, Casemiro, Valverde and Isco.
Forwards: Hazard, Benzema, Asensio, Lucas V., Jović, Vini Jr., Mariano and Rodrygo.
Striker Mariano Diaz is back with the team after missing the first games of the season and while he won’t be expected to play relevant minutes throughout the season it will be interesting to see if coach Zinedine Zidane trusts him ahead of backup striker Luka Jovic.
Other than that, no big news for Madrid. Hazard will possibly be looking at his first start of the season while Real wait for Carvajal, Odriozola and Odegaard to recover from their injuries and add some depth to the current squad.
Huesca should be a manageable opponent for Madrid but the same could’ve been said about Cadiz and Shakhtar, so Los Blancos will need to bounce back from those last two home losses.
