Real Madrid’s last game before the upcoming FIFA break will take place at Villarreal, but Los Blancos aren’t facing Emery, Kubo and Co. but Levante, who are playing their home games at the Estadio de la Ceramica after the pandemic.
Madrid lost three players to injuries this week. Hazard suffered a muscle injury right before making his return to the team, Carvajal damaged his MCL and Odriozola picked up a calf injury when he was needed the most. All of these injuries, along the ones to Kroos and Militao, mean that Los Blancos don’t have a deep squad at the moment.
The right-back position is where coach Zinedine Zidane will be in trouble. He simply doesn’t have a pure right-back to start there, so he will have to deploy either Lucas Vazquez, Nacho or Mendy. Considering that Levante will likely sit back trying to defend, Vazquez will likely be Zidane’s choice.
