Real Madrid attacker Vinicius Jr. talked to the press after scoring the team’s opening goal against Levante. The Brazilian winger has been a bright spot for Madrid so far, giving Los Blancos the win on their last two Liga games.
“I’m happy for my goal and also for the win, we had to struggle a bit in the end because we’re playing away from home, but we still managed to get the three points. Now it’s important to get some rest and prepare for the next game,” said Vinicius.
The talented attacker was asked about what happened during the second half, where Levante dominated Madrid and almost managed to score the equalizer until Thibaut Courtois stepped up and proved his worth.
“It’s normal, this is just the start of the season and second halves are always tough. Furthermore, they’re a good team. Sometimes you have to struggle to win,” he added.
When the reporter asked Vinicius what is missing to improve on that front, he delivered a clear answer.
“We’re still lacking a bit of rhythm, more games. Now we leave for the FIFA break and I’m sure we will all get back in better form,” concluded Vinicius.
