While much of the squad is away on international duty this week and next, the remaining players (those not called up to their respective national teams), have stayed behind to train almost daily at Valdebebas.
Today, the players (consisting of Marcelo, Lucas Vazquez, Vinicius Jr, Isco, Karim Benzema, Mariano Diaz and others, including youth team members) began the session with warm up and injury-prevention exercises before moving into ball circulation and pressing drills. Then, Zinedine Zidane moved the players into scrimmages on reduced-sized pitches. The training ended with crossing and shooting drills.
Mariano trained alone, both indoors and outdoors. Eden Hazard, Dani Carvajal, Alvaro Odriozola, and Eder Militao worked out indoors.

From an international duty standpoint, we may see two Madridistas tonight: Martin Odegaard and Fede Valverde. Norway plays against Serbia at 2:45 EST in a UEFA Nations League game; while Uruguay plays against Chile at 6:45 EST in a World Cup qualifier.
