UEFA have appointed French referee Clement Turpin as the official in charge of Real Madrid’s home game against Inter Milan, which will be played on Tuesday at the Estadio Alfredo di Stefano —21:00 CET—.
Turpin is a very experienced referee and he’s already called three Champions League games for Madrid, all of them ending in victory for Los Blancos.
Per Realmadrid.com
Clément Turpin will referee the match between Real Madrid and Inter Milan at the Alfredo Di Stéfano stadium, corresponding to matchday 3 of the Champions League group stage (Tuesday, 9:00 pm, CET). It will be the third time that the French match official has refereed Real Madrid in the competition.
The first time was in the group stage of the 2014/15 season against Ludogorest, which ended in a 4-0 Madrid victory. The second was against Roma in the 2018/19 group stage, which the Whites won 0-2.
The game between Real Madrid and Inter is crucial for the fate of this Group Stage. Both teams are currently out of the spots which grant access to the Round of 16, so it will be extremely important for both sides to score as many points they can now given that the matches against Shakhtar and Gladbach have proven to be quite problematic.
