Squad List

GK: Misa, Yohana, Sara Ezquerro.

DEF: Kenti Robles, Babett Peter, Samara Ortiz, Ivana Andrés, Marta Corredera, Claudia Florentino

MID: Thaisa, Aurélie Kaci, Teresa Abelleira

FWD: Kosovare Asllani, Sofia Jakobsson, Marta Cardona, Lorena Navarro, Chioma Ubogagu, Jessica Martínez, Ariana Arias

Real Madrid’s transparency in regard to player removals from the squad has not gotten any better and left winger Olga Carmona joins midfielders Maite Oroz and Malena Ortiz as those inexplicably absent. Once again, one must assume that injury is the reason, which we know is what has caused the long-term exclusion of central defender Daiane.

David Aznar has plenty of depth in wide areas, though and Marta Cardona is likely to come back into the eleven alongside Sofia Jakobsson. If not, Chioma Ubogagu would be more than capable cutting in from the left flank. It is in the center of the park that Aznar has few choices, as he must decide whether to go with the steely pairing of Thaisa and Kaci again or add some control and technical quality with Teresa.

Real Madrid Femenino will play Granadilla in the Primera Iberdrola at 8:30 pm CET (2:30 pm EST) today. The match will be broadcasted on La Liga Sports TV.
