Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema got tests on the groin injury he picked up during the 4-1 loss to Valencia and those tests revealed that the French striker doesn’t have a severe injury and should be ready to face Villarreal right after this ongoing FIFA break, according to reports published on the Spanish press.

This is great news for Los Blancos, given that Benzema is a crucial player for coach Zinedine Zidane. Furthermore, Real Madrid’s next two games will be against Villarreal and Inter Milan —both away— and they will need to be as ready as possible to perform, given that those two matches could be crucial.

It will be interesting to see if Madrid are able to recover Militao, Casemiro and Hazad during this FIFA break, as all three of them are currently out after testing positive for Covid-19. Carvajal and Odriozola could also be back soon after the break, so Real Madrid will eventually recover some of their depth.
