Bar the 12 Real Madrid players who were called up to international duty, along with Fede Valverde who is nursing an injury, the rest of the team trained at Real Madrid City today.
(All information on the national team schedules for every call-up can be found here.)
Today’s session was relatively short, but still demanding. Zinedine Zidane had the players go through a circuit which combined both physical and ball work. Some players are still recovering, and trained away from the team. Karim Benzema (groin injury) and Alvaro Odriozola (calf injury) worked out indoors, along with Lucas Vazquez and Ferland Mendy who also stayed inside the training facilities. Fede Valverde, who suffered a small shin fracture in the 4 - 1 loss to Valencia at Mestalla on Sunday, was not with the team, as he continues his recovery process behind the scenes.
