Squad List

GK: Misa, Yohana, Sara Ezquerro

DEF: Kenti Robles, Babett Peter, Samara Ortiz, Ivana Andrés, Marta Corredera, Claudia Florentino

MID: Thaisa, Kaci, Maite Oroz, Teresa Abelleira

FWD: Kosovare Asllani, Sofia Jakobsson, Marta Cardona, Lorena Navarro, Chioma Ubogagu, Jessica Martínez, Ariana Arias

Olga Carmona remains injured, though Maite Oroz has finally rejoined the squad. That comes as welcome news after Madrid struggled to control the midfield in their last two matches. They managed to defeat Eibar regardless, thanks to two handballs, but it cost Las Blancas vs. Granadilla.

Athletic Club will not be a much easier opponent, given that they have only lost one game in six and and sit two places above Real Madrid Femenino in the Primera Iberdrola table. Yet it is encounters like this that must be won if Champions League football is the goal.

It’s another early kick-off on Sunday — 12:00 pm CET (6:00 am EST). The match will be broadcasted on Teledeporte (VPN required).
