Ramos breaks records, and misses….2 penalties (?!)
As if the year needs to get any more weird, Sergio Ramos has missed two penalties in one game, as Spain drew 1-1 with Switzerland. For the first time in 25 (!) consecutive penalties, Ramos missed the one. The last time he did not score a penalty was in May of 2018. As Ramos got to Ramos, he also made a clearance that otherwise would have led to a goal that would have given Switzerland the win. Ramos also made his 177 appearance for Spain, officially surpassing Buffon and becoming the European player with most international caps. Will he break the international record of 184 games?
