Real Madrid have published a medical report on team captain Sergio Ramos, who suffered a muscle injury with the Spanish national team this week.

Tras las pruebas realizadas hoy a nuestro jugador Sergio Ramos por los Servicios Médicos del Real Madrid se le ha diagnosticado una lesión en el bíceps femoral de la pierna derecha. Pendiente de evolución.

This report confirms that Ramos does have a hamstring injury which will keep him out at least for the next two weeks, meaning that he will not only miss the tough away match against Villarreal this Saturday but also the crucial clash against Inter next week.

Ramos’ injury is devastating for Real Madrid considering how bad the team’s defensive line has looked every time he’s been out. Militao just completed his first training session today after spending the last few weeks recovering from Covid-19 and might not be ready to play this Saturday yet, which leaves coach Zinedine Zidane in a tough spot.
