Updates on the team ahead of Villareal.
AS reported that Hazard and Militao will be available to face Villareal, as they tested negative and the protocol allows them to play. Both players trained normally with the team yesterday.
According to COPE, Varane still has discomfort on his shoulder. He will be examined before the last training ahead of Villareal.
The club released Ramos’ medical report. AS stated that he’ll be out for 10 days to 2 weeks. COPE reported that he’ll miss the 3 coming games: Villareal, Inter and Alaves. Marca reported that Ramos will try to be available against Shakhtar on 1st December.
Villareal Scouting Report.
The yellow submarine are currently second in la liga standings behind Real Sociedad with 18 points. They’ve had a productive summer stealing away Francis Coquelin and Dani Parejo from Valencia on the cheap. Unai Emery seems to have transformed the team and Madrid’s depleted backline will have to keep an eye on the dangerous duo of Paco Alcacer and Gerard Moreno who’ve already netted 5 and 4 times respectively in la liga this season. The aforementioned Dani Parejo, who along with Vicente Iborra and Manu Trigueros in midfield, has been one of la liga’s best midfielders for years. Finally there’s Spanish international Pau Torres, a solid center back that keeps getting better and better. Oh and they have this guy called Takefusa Kubo too. Ring any bells?
Barca presidential candidate Victor Font would like to sign Sergio Ramos.
In an interview Victor Font, one of the favorites to succeed Josep Maria Bartomeu, didn’t seem to mind contemplating the signing of the Madrid captain. “If Xavi asked me to sign Sergio Ramos, I would sign him if it was economically feasible.” he stated. One can only wonder what Ramos’ response would be.
Ancelotti’s comments.
Carlo Ancelotti completely dismissed the previous transfer rumor linking Isco to Everton, saying it is not true that he is after Isco. The Italian coach also talked about James - that the Colombian player’s quality has never been discussed at Madrid or Bayern. For Carlo, James had more difficulty due to competition, noting the James can have a good physical level if he plays regularly.
