Real Madrid’s depth is gone, at least for the next couple of games. Los Blancos have to survive and face Villarreal without captain and leader Sergio Ramos and Karim Benzema, both of them out with injuries. Furthermore, Luka Jovic will also have to miss the game after testing positive for Covid-19 this Friday, so coach Zinedine Zidane just can’t afford to manage the legs of his players for next week’s clash against Inter.

Los Blancos are in a tough spot after their discouraging 4-1 loss to Valencia right before the FIFA break, so it won’t be easy for them to regain their confidence and momentum with so many injuries.

Villarreal have been very solid this season and have a quality team, so Real Madrid will need a composed, solid performance tonight if they want to earn the three points and look like serious contenders for this 2020-2021 edition of La Liga.
