Lukaku downplaying Inter Milan ahead of crucial Champions League-game
The Belgian international made some interesting statements before the game against Real Madrid. In an interview, he said that he believes Inter still have a long way to go to be called a “great team”. Although the forward has been in great form, scoring 9 goals in 9 games, more or less carrying the Italian sides offense. He continued on stating, “We are not yet a great team, because if we suffer as we have done, it is not good”. Clearly not a fan of the Zidane-way.
Benzema still training solo
Benz has still not returned to full training with the squad. An injury that, according to some club officials, would not even keep him away for the game against Villareal, now looks like it will keep him away for the trip against Inter Milan. Mondays training will tell a lot. If he indeed trains with the squad, he might be fit to at least feature in the squad list. But at the moment, anything is possible, and that includes the chance that he will be staying home for the game.
Isco rumors
There have been many “will he, won’t he” rumors during the last week or so, concerning Isco and his future at Real Madrid. However, yesterday we got some telling news. According to Cadena SER, an Isco representative stated in the radio-show El Laguero that they are “Neither studying offers or the chance to leave Madrid”. So, case closed, or just a way of upping up the ante?
Casemiro and Militao might feature against Inter
More buildup to the game against Inter. According to Marca, both Militao and Casemiro will undergo PCR-test to determine if they are available for the clash against Inter. Regarding Ramos, he is all but confirmed to not make the trip. To have MIlitao as a possibility would in other words be a huge boost.
