Real Madrid have published their squad list for Wednesday’s away game against Inter Milan in the UEFA Champions League Group Stage.
REAL MADRID SQUAD:
Goalkeepers: Courtois, Lunin, Altube.
Defenders: Carvajal, Varane, Nacho, Marcelo, F. Mendy, Víctor Chust.
Midfielders: Kroos, Modrić, Casemiro, Ødegaard, Isco.
Forwards: Hazard, Asensio, Lucas V., Vini Jr., Mariano, Rodrygo, Hugo Duro.
Luckily enough for coach Zinedine Zidane, Casemiro is back with the team after recovering from Covid-19 and testing negative. The midfielder will bring much-needed physical presence in the midfield, especially against a quality team like Inter.
Other than that, Benzema and Militao are still out, and so are Odriozola and Jovic. Mariano is expected to lead Madrid’s offensive line.
Madrid need to bounce back from their last two results against Valencia —4-1— and Villarreal —1-1— in order to increase their chances of winning the Group Stage and become a seeded team in the Round of 16 draw.
