Real Madrid will be represented in the 2020 The Best FIFA Football Awards on three separate shortlists by Sergio Ramos, Thibaut Courtois and Zinedine Zidane.

Club captain Ramos is on the shortlist for The Best FIFA Men’s Player award along with ten other European footballers. He has been previously named to the FIFPro Men’s World XI as part of these awards.

Courtois has been named to the The Best FIFA Men’s Goalkeeper shortlist along with five other net-minders, including former Real keeper Keylor Navas. He previously won the award in 2018 while playing for Chelsea.

Zidane is nominated to The Best FIFA Men’s Coach list which includes five other managers including former manager Julen Lopetegui. Zidane has won the award before in 2017 and finished second in voting in 2016 and 2018.

These award shortlists are not surprising as all three were major factors in leading Real Madrid to the club’s 34th La Liga title last season. Courtois’ efforts in net also earned him the Zamora Trophy previously.

Real’s nominees can be voted for now through Dec. 9 as registered users on FIFA.com. The three finalists across each of the seven categories will be announced on Dec. 11. The winners will be announced on Dec. 17 as a part of The Best awards ceremony in Zurich.
