Real Madrid have published a medical report on Dani Carvajal, who suffered a groin injury in training and will need to miss around two weeks.

Following tests carried out today on Dani Carvajal by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with a muscular injury to his right adductor brevis. His recovery will continue to be monitored.

Coach Zinedine Zidane was the one announcing Carvajal’s injury during today’s press conference. With Carvajal and Sergio Ramos out, Zidane could be forced to start Eder Militao —who rejoined the squad in training this Thursday— in the center of the defensive line and Nacho on the right. Another option would be to start Vazquez on the right flank, or even Mendy, given that Marcelo is healthy.

Either way, Carvajal will not only miss the match against Alaves but also the upcoming games against Shakhtar, Gladbach, Sevilla and Atletico de Madrid, so this is devastating news for Real Madrid.
