The Spanish Women's National Team will have to wait to secure qualification for the European Championship. On Friday, Spain trashed Moldova 10-0 to set themselves up nicely for their last match against the Polish Women’s National Team.
Spain only needed to draw against Poland to secure qualification for the European Championship. But the Spanish National Team’s camp came to a premature end on Sunday. Spain were suppose to take on Poland on Dec. 1 but UEFA has rescheduled the match.
The Poland Women’s National Team reported multiple positive COVID cases. UEFA has confirmed that the match will be rescheduled and will take place in February 2021.
Spain currently sits at the top of Euro Qualification Group D. They have played six matches, winning five and drawing one. The draw came against Poland in a goalless affair. Spain currently has 16 points, two more than Poland, who have played seven matches.
