Real Madrid completed a solid performance against Huesca last Saturday, but Inter Milan will be expected to be an entirely different animal when Los Blancos host the Italian side in the UEFA Champions League today.
Madrid will be without Carvajal, Odriozola, Militao and Nacho and that means that Los Blancos will have a very thin defensive line. Any kind of physical problem for the starters could mean trouble for coach Zinedine Zidane, who would be forced to use a player out of position as his bench will not have backups other than Marcelo.
Real Madrid predicted XI: Courtois, Vazquez, Varane, Ramos, Mendy, Casemiro, Kroos, Valverde, Hazard, Asensio, Benzema.
Inter Milan predicted XI: Handanovic, D’Ambrosio, De Vrij, Kolarov, Achraf, Barella, Brozovic, Vidal, Young, Lautaro Martinez, Perisic.
Luckily enough for Madrid, Inter will almost certainly be without Romelu Lukaku’s physicality. The attacker missed Inter’s game this past weekend and hasn’t trained with the squad just yet, so he’s more than questionable at this point.
Achraf’s return to Madrid will definitely be interesting to watch, as the young defender will likely want to prove his worth after the club decided to sell him.
