Real Madrid have published a medical report on midfielder Fede Valverde, who suffered an injury during the team’s 4-1 loss to Valencia last night.

Following tests carried out on our player, Federico Valverde, by Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with a fracture in the posterior tibial bone in his right leg. His recovery will continue to be assessed.

Although Real Madrid did not put a timetable on his return to the pitch, Valverde could miss around a month with this small shin fracture. It’s important to note that a shin fracture could take much longer to heal, but the original medical report in Spanish mentions this injury as a fisura and not a fractura, which usually indicates that it’s a very small fracture and not a complete one.

This is devastating news for Madrid now that Valverde was playing great football again. Zidane will likely be required to rely on his Casemiro-Kroos-Modric midfield trio while Valverde is out of the pitch.
