Real Madrid’s visit to Shakhtar isn’t expected to be an easy one for Los Blancos. The Ukrainian side have always been a strong team at their own stadium and they already managed to beat Madrid when these two teams met at the Estadio Alfredo Di Stefano earlier this season.

Coach Zinedine Zidane will be without team captain and leader Sergio Ramos, whose absence has always hurt Madrid’s defensive performance recently. Shakhtar have a quality team and Los Blancos need a win, so this is a monumental game and quite possibly a season-defining moment for Real.

Madrid have the tools to beat Shakhtar and should be considered the favorites to do so, but the same could’ve been said when Los Blancos lost against Cadiz, Alaves or even the Ukrainian side earlier in the season. Madrid have not been consistent or reliable, so it will be interesting to see which version of Los Blancos shows up tonight.
