Volker Struth, the agent to Toni Kroos, was the guest on this week’s podcast episode of, ‘Einfach mal luppen’. The podcast is hosted by Toni Kroos and his brother, Felix Kroos, with episodes released in German on a weekly basis. Volker Struth represents both brothers and while on the podcast was asked which player he would like to add to his agency, Sports Total.
“I wouldn’t be able to say no to Haaland,” Struth revealed. “He is very special — both as a football professional and as a person. And of course, he is very young.”
It was Volker Struth’s concluding remarks which may catch the eye of Madrid fans: “You could still play with him, Toni. He will make his way.” For Toni Kroos’ part, he could only reveal a slight smile.
Since bursting on to the scene last season, Erling Haaland has been a player Real Madrid kept tabs on. His goal-scoring exploits have not slowed down in his second season with Borussia Dortmund. All of Europe’s top clubs have their eye on the young marksman. The Norwegian striker has admitted in the past that Cristiano Ronaldo was one of his idols growing up, possibly providing Haaland with a positive connection to Real Madrid. Haaland is also known to be good friends with Martin Odegaard, a fellow Norwegian already on Real Madrid’s books.
