For the first time in the 2020-2021 season, Real Madrid have a healthy squad. Eden Hazard, Luka Jovic and Mariano Diaz completed Friday’s training session with the rest of the squad and will almost certainly be available when Los Blancos take on Eibar next Sunday.
Hazard’s return is particularly important for Madrid. The Belgian attacker will have the chance to improve his form and conditioning over Madrid’s next two manageable games against Eibar and Granada and if he manages to stay healthy, he should be a crucial player when the Spanish Supercup kicks off on January 14th against Athletic Bilbao.
Jovic and Mariano’s presence will also allow Zidane to give Karim Benzema some rest. The striker has been in very good form lately but could use some time on the bench in order to stay fresh and sharp for the tougher games, so coach Zidane could start managing his roster and making rotations.
