Real Madrid’s visit to Eibar should not be taken for granted. The Basque side are a very solid team with a defensive-minded style of play and have only conceded 10 goals so far this season. They also take a very direct approach offensively, which tends to hurt Madrid’s defense.
Los Blancos have recovered some of their depth in the midfield now that both Odegaard and Valverde are back, so Zidane could afford to make some rotations after what has been a tough stretch for them in terms of schedule. A veteran player like Modric, for instance, could need a break and tonight could be a good opportunity for that given that Valverde’s physical presence would be useful.
Vinicius and Hazard will both miss the game, though, so Zidane needs to find a replacement for that left wing. Rodrygo and Asensio are the most likely candidates to play in that spot, given that Vazquez seems to be the starter on the right side at the moment.
