Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos talked to the press very briefly this past weekend and was asked about his potential contract extension with the club, one which isn’t all that obvious anymore.
“We’ll see, we’ll see what happens…,” said Ramos when asked about the matter.
The captain will be free to negotiate with other clubs on January 1st and has not reached an agreement with Real Madrid about extending his contract, which expires next summer. Madrid are reportedly offering a one-year extension and Ramos wants two more seasons, that being the most problematic issue about the negotiations.
While the Spanish press reported this weekend that Real Madrid and Modric had reached an agreement to extend his current deal until the summer of 2022, it seems that Los Blancos are still trying to get that done with both Sergio Ramos and Lucas Vazquez, the other two players whose contracts expire in the summer of 2021.
