Players’ meeting.

The players held a meeting yesterday, according to AS. Ramos, as expected, talked to the squad that they’re just one victory away from going into R16 of the Champions League. Modric said they must be united and they can win the next few games. Zidane wasn’t in the meeting, but was informed that he has the full support of the main group of players, but subs like Isco and Mariano are not as aligned as the others according to AS.

Former Captain and Real Madrid legend Iker Casillas also leapt to the defense of Zidane stating that “You cannot live in the past but he’s earned the right for us to trust in him”. He also urged the renewal of Ramos’ contract as covered in the article by Matt Wiltse.

Preparations underway for the game against Sevilla.

Jovic and Odriozola were the notable additions as Real Madrid prepared for the game against Sevilla at the Sanchez Pizjuan. Ramos and Carvajal trained individually out on the grass and indoors, whilst Eden Hazard, Fede Valverde and Thibaut Courtois completed specific work indoors. Sevilla are currently 1 point behind Madrid in the la liga standings, albeit with a game in hand. Real Madrid need to win to keep pace in La liga and also break the cycle of bad results ahead of the huge game against Borussia Monchengladbach.

Transfer rumors.

According to Mohamed Bouhafsi, football chief editor at RMC Sport and BFM TV, Kylian Mbappe is in talks with PSG for a contract renewal but nothing is progressing. The French club is now realizing the possibility of him leaving next season and have valued him at more than 200 million euros.

AS reported that Real Madrid is interested in Francho Serrano, a 19 year-old midfielder who plays for Zaragoza. His contract goes until 2020, with a release clause of €8 million in the Second Division and €30 million in the First Division.

Official Bernabéu store is open!

Emilio Butragueño attended the inauguration of the new official Real Madrid Store, located at gate 30 of the stadium. The new space has more than 700 m² spread in two floors. The store is open from Monday to Saturday from 10:00 to 20:30 and on Sundays and holidays from 10:00 to 20:00.
