Real Madrid defender Dani Carvajal trained with the rest of the squad on both Monday and Tuesday’s sessions, meaning that he has recovered from the groin injury he suffered a few weeks ago, only two games after making his return from a knee injury.

Madrid will publish their squad list for Wednesday’s game later today and it’s likely that Carvajal will be included. If that’s the case, his return to the starting lineup is quite probable at this point.

Real Madrid’s backup right-back Alvaro Odriozola was back with the team as well and even made the team’s squad list for Saturday’s match against Sevilla, but coach Zinedine Zidane decided to start Lucas Vazquez on that spot.

Vazquez completed a solid performance and has been playing well lately, so Zidane could decide to wait a bit longer and let Carvajal improve his conditioning and form for Saturday’s Madrid Derby against Atletico de Madrid.
