Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has been named La Liga’s Player of the Month for January, the competition announced this Monday.

Courtois was brilliant all January long but he’s been at this level since October. Real Madrid’s goalkeeper has been one of the most highlighted players for the team this season and quite possibly also one of the main reasons why Los Blancos are three points ahead of Barcelona in La Liga table.
In fact, Madrid have conceded just 14 goals this Liga season for what currently is the best defensive record in La Liga and also one of the best in Europe.
Courtois was named Real Madrid’s undisputed starting goalkeeper this season after the departure of Keylor Navas. His performances during the 2018-2019 campaign were not as brilliant as expected but right now he’s delivering and it’s safe to say that he’s one of the best goalkeepers in European football.
