It will be a single-elimination game. Athletic played their round of 8 fixture away against Granadilla Tenerife and Tacón hosted Rayo Vallecano. Therefore, following the competition rules, the Quarter-Finals will be played at Athletic Bilbao’s home ground — Lezama. The match will take place on the 25th or 26th of February
Tacón has not faced Athletic yet in La Primera Iberdrola. They were due to go head-to-head last November, but it coincided with the players’ strike in protest of the lack of a collective workers agreement. They did play a pre-season match last August in the Trofeo Ramón de Carranza, where Tacón lost 1-0.
