The biggest development in today’s training session was that James Rodriguez finally rejoined the squad in full-contact training after spending a couple days in solitary training at Real Madrid City. The only other two players remaining outside the main training now are Marco Asensio and Mariano Diaz. Mariano ran outside; while Asensio continued his own recovery session.
Everything else was pretty routine. Zidane’s men continued preparing for the match against Celta by doing physical drills followed by ball control, passing, and possession exercises before working on their finishing.
On a side note, Toni Kroos has scored against Celta Vigo for five consecutive years — hoping to make another dent in them in 2020, starting on Sunday.
