Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois was visibly disappointed with the 2-2 draw against Celta Vigo when he talked to the press right after the game. Los Blancos dropped two points against a mediocre team and saw their lead in the table cut to just one point.
“I’m angry because we drew. It was a tough match and we conceded an early goal. We started the second half strong and managed to score twice, but they’re a skilled team and they proved it. We let two points walk away from us and they’re valuable here at home,” said Courtois.
The goalkeeper discussed the game and said that overall, Real Madrid completed a decent defensive performance.
“It’s not that they had many chances to score, overall we defended well. Denis turned around and delivered a good pass to Mina, sometimes football goes like this and it hurts to drop two points but we have to work so that we win against Levante,” he explained.
Courtois wrapped up his press conference by praising Eden Hazard, who was good three months after his injury.
“Little by little he will pick up his pace after three months. He’s a very valuable player for us, we have to work well so that next Saturday we can win,” concluded Courtois.
