Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba expects to leave the club next summer and has Real Madrid, Barcelona and Juventus as his favorite destinations, according to a report from ESPN FC’s Rob Dawson.

Pogba tried to complete a move away from Old Trafford in the summer of 2019 but Manchester United refused any kind of offer from Real Madrid, so the midfielder ended up staying. That ultimately gave Federico Valverde a chance to shine for Los Blancos and that’s what he did, so it’s not clear if Madrid will make another move for Pogba when the transfer window opens.

The midfielder has only appeared in eight games for United this season and it looks like he definitely wants to leave the club. However, if the Red Devils keep asking for the same kind of money in order to let him go, it’s likely that no big club in Europe is willing to make an effort for the Frenchman.

Coach Zinedine Zidane has always been a fan of Pogba’s game and Real Madrid will need to add more midfielders to their roster because of Luka Modric’s decline, but Pogba would compete with Valverde for a spot in the starting lineup and the Uruguayan player has done enough this season to be an undisputed starter for the time being.
