Real Madrid seem to have lost some momentum during the last few weeks, mainly because of their loss to Real Sociedad in the Copa del Rey Quarterfinals and last week’s draw against Celta de Vigo at home. Los Blancos visit Levante trying to regain much needed confidence and momentum ahead of Wednesday’s opening leg against Manchester City and next weekend’s El Clasico against Barcelona.

Los Blancos will have a tough challenge to overcome, given that Levante have been extremely strong at home this season. Zidane and his players know that they will have to be at their very best if they want to earn the three points tonight.

It will be interesting to see what Zidane decides to do with his lineup considering that Ferland Mendy will miss El Clasico if he gets booked against Levante. Marcelo has been a huge defensive liability recently and that’s something Real Madrid need to fix, but at the same time they just can’t afford to miss Mendy for the upcoming match against Barça.
