Gareth Bale’s agent Jonathan Barnett has talked to TalkSport about the situation of the Welsh player in Real Madrid. Barnett said that Bale is happy in the Spanish capital and added that it’s not a matter of money and minutes.
“Gareth is very happy over there and let’s be realistic: for most clubs he is out of their league, financially. It is all well and good to say, ‘give up that money and go and play somewhere else’, but it is not all about money. It is about his lifestyle and his children, who have grown up in Madrid,” said Barnett before revealing that Tottenham did not submit an offer to sign the Welshman this past winter.
If Bale is not willing to give up his current life in Madrid for a new contract with more relevant minutes, it will be extremely tough for Real Madrid to find him a new club before his current deal expires in 2022, no matter what coach Zinedine Zidane actually wants.
Bale was rumored to be on his way out of the club all summer long but ended up staying in Madrid. He has been a minor player for Zidane yet it seems that the Welshman won’t leave unless a very interesting offer comes his way, something quite unlikely given his current role in the club.
