Real Madrid announce squad for Copa del Rey Quarterfinals against Real Sociedad

Real Madrid have published their squad list for Thursday’s Copa del Rey match against Real Sociedad.

REAL MADRID SQUAD:

Goalkeepers: Courtois, Areola and Altube.

Defender: Militão, Ramos, Varane, Nacho, Marcelo and Mendy.

Midfielders: Kroos, Modric, Valverde, James and Isco.

Forwards: Benzema, Jović, Brahim, Vinicius Jr. and Rodrygo.

Star Eden Hazard didn’t make the list even though most reports suggested that he could make his return from the injury he picked up in November. Gareth Bale, Casemiro, Lucas Vazquez and Carvajal will also miss the game.

All things considered, Nacho should start on the right side of Madrid’s defensive line, with Valverde, Kroos, Modric and Isco featuring in the midfield. Zidane will likely trust Benzema, Vinicius and Rodrygo upfront, but James could also get a chance to start on the right wing.

Real Madrid will need to take this game very seriously if they want to advance to the Semifinals. While they’ll play the game at the Bernabeu, Real Sociedad have been outstanding this season and these single elimination games are always extremely dangerous.
