After confirming that goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois suffered a groin injury which will keep him out of Real Madrid’s upcoming two games, Los Blancos also published a medical report on Marcelo, who will also miss those matches.
Following tests carried out today on Marcelo by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with a muscle injury to his left hamstring. His recovery will be monitored.

Marcelo was forced to leave Sunday’s match against Betis with this injury and will need at least two weeks to recover from this injury, considering how tricky hamstring issues are.
Ferland Mendy will now be Real Madrid’s starter at the left-back spot. The Frenchman will have a good opportunity to prove that he should be the undisputed starter at that position, given that coach Zinedine Zidane has decided to play Marcelo in Real’s last two games.
Mendy has been very solid this season but Madrid will be in trouble if he is forced to miss a game because of suspension or injury.
