Flamengo vice-president Mauricio Gomes de Mattos, who recently travelled to Madrid to meet with Florentino Perez, and even went as far as to take an entire stadium tour of the Bernabeu museum, has been tested positive for COVID-19.
Mattos also took pictures with and interacted with Real Madrid CEO Jose Angel Sanchez, as well as Brazilian football scout Juni Calafat.
Mattos’s visit could have affected more than just Real Madrid’s board. Calafat also visited Eric Abidal in Barcelona, before travelling to Colombia with Flamengo for Copa Libertadores.
