Takefusa Kubo looked to pass some time at home by conducting an interview on Instagram Live with his Mallorca teammate, Cucho Hernandez. The Japanese prodigy was asked many about Real Madrid, including which Madrid player impressed him the most.
“When I went to train with the Real Madrid first team, I really liked Isco,” he told his followers.
”I knew he was good but after training with him, I noticed that he was incredible.”
It would not be a true online dialogue without the age-old Lionel Messi vs Cristiano Ronaldo question. Kubo took the diplomatic route:
”I liked Cristiano more at Manchester United but at Real Madrid he became more of a goalscorer. I like Ronaldo’s freekicks more but, with Messi, I like his dribbling more.”
When asked about a potential return to Real Madrid for next season, the young Japanese sensation was clear on what were his top priorities: “First we must save Real Mallorca from relegation,” he affirmed.
