Raiola: “I want to bring a great player to Real Madrid this summer”

Famous agent Mino Raiola talked to MARCA in an interview and shared his plans, revealing that he wants one of his players to sign for Real Madrid next summer. Raiola represents the likes of Paul Pogba or Erling Haaland.

“I definitely want to take a great player to Real Madrid, and I will try to do so this summer. It would be a source of pride for me and my players because Real Madrid are a great club,” explained Raiola.

The Dutch agent already tried to complete a move which would’ve taken Pogba to the Santiago Bernabeu last summer. However, Real Madrid’s offers got rejected and now it might be too late for the French midfielder to become a merengue, even more so after Fede Valverde’s great season in the club.

Raiola was once seen as an obstacle for Madrid because of his reputation, but he has now said that his relationship with the club is good.

“My relationship with Real Madrid is very good. I am in contact with Jose Angel Sanchez and I love discussing football with him,” added Raiola.

Considering that Pogba is no longer a need for Real Madrid, Haaland could be the team’s most realistic target. Still, Raiola believes the striker will stay in Dortmund, even though he has an appealing €75 million release clause.

He’s a very important gem. He has a lot to improve yet. He’ll be at Dortmund for as long as he needs to be. It’s true that he is a footballer who is anticipating the stages of growth faster than you might think. I don’t think that when he left Salzburg it was the right time, but... I don’t think he’ll be leaving Dortmund this summer,” concluded Raiola.
