Real Madrid defender Achraf Hakimi, who has spent the last two seasons playing for Borussia Dortmund on a loan deal, talked to Josep Pedrerol in El Chiringuito last night and was asked about the reports suggesting that he will make his return to Real Madrid next summer.
“I’d like to keep playing good minutes, I’m still very young. If it’s for Real Madrid, I’d love it,” said Achraf about his future.
The defender has to leave the Spanish capital in order to find the minutes he needed to keep growing and improving as a player. His performances for Borussia Dortmund have been nothing short of spectacular and while he’s not a pure defender, it’s clear that his versatility and his offensive skill set would be useful for Madrid.
Achraf also talked about his decision to join Borussia Dortmund two years ago.
“It was tough to leave Real Madrid, but if you don’t have chances to play it’s good to do so,” he said.
Although it seems obvious that Los Blancos will bring back Achraf in the summer, the defender revealed that the club has not called him.
“Sometimes they have said congratulations after winning some awards but they haven’t told me what will happen with my future,” concluded the defender.
