Real Madrid left-back Marcelo might as well be facing his last seasons as a madridista. The Brazilian defender will turn 32 years old this May and Juventus are willing to offer him a four-year contract if the Brazilian legend is keen on leaving Madrid, according to a report from the Italian media.
Juventus showed interest in Marcelo two years ago but the left-back ended up staying in the Spanish capital. The situation has changed very suddenly, though. Marcelo has entered a fairly obvious decline and seems to have lost his starting spot to French left-back Ferland Mendy, something which could ultimately help Juventus’ case.
It’s clear that Marcelo is a club legend and Real Madrid will only sell him if he decides to leave the club, similarly to what happened with Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure to Juventus in the summer of 2018.
Ultimately, if Marcelo chooses to leave, Real Madrid could bring back Sergio Reguilon —on loan with Sevilla— to be Mendy’s backup on the left side of the defensive line.
